Who doesn't love Spring? The snow has melted, skies are blue, and flowers are blooming in abundance. The long cold winter has finally loosened its icy grip on the world, and the air is filled with birdsong and the fresh scent of Spring. For the elderly in particular, Spring can be a rejuvenating time. After all, elderly individuals are more likely to be home bound during the winter months. Even a minor cold can result in far more serious medical issues for the elderly, and a single slip on the ice can result in broken bones and loss of mobility. For this reason, many elderly people do not venture out during the winter months unless absolutely necessary.
